Prices, models and availability

We write for U.S. buyers. Unless stated otherwise:

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars and reflect manufacturer list prices or prices reported at the time of writing. They do not include sales tax, carrier fees or trade-in credits, and they change often.
  • Specifications, colors and storage options refer to U.S. models. International versions of the same phone can use different chips, bands or features.
  • Availability, 5G band support, eSIM support and features such as Wi-Fi Calling can differ between carriers, including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, and between unlocked and carrier-locked models.
  • Release dates based on leaks, rumors or regulatory filings, such as FCC listings, are reported as such and may turn out to be wrong.

Always confirm price, compatibility and availability with the manufacturer, your carrier or the retailer before you buy.

Health and safety features

Some articles cover health features on phones and wearables, such as heart rate, blood pressure trends, sleep tracking or fall detection. We describe what these features do; we do not give medical advice. Many wellness features are not cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and we note a feature’s FDA status when it is known. Do not use a phone or watch to diagnose a condition or adjust medication. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional, and in an emergency call 911.

Reviews and opinions

Reviews, buying advice, rankings and opinion pieces reflect the honest views of their authors at the time of writing, based on hands-on use where stated and on published testing and reporting from credible sources where cited. Your experience with a product may differ. Opinions of our writers are their own and not those of any manufacturer.

How-to guides

Follow tutorials and troubleshooting steps at your own risk. Menu names and settings vary by device, manufacturer, carrier and software version. Before changing system settings, installing apps from outside the Google Play Store, unlocking a bootloader, rooting, flashing software or resetting a device, back up your data. Some of these actions can void your manufacturer or carrier warranty. Android Captain is not responsible for data loss, device damage, voided warranties or carrier charges that result from following a guide.

If that changes, we will follow the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Our editorial opinions are not for sale.
