Google's Pixel 10a is $100 pricier, and Samsung's Galaxy A phones went up the same day.
Google raised the Pixel 10a to $599 for 128GB, up from $499, on Oct. 2 without any announcement.
The 256GB model now lists at $699. The hardware, including the Tensor G4 chip, is unchanged.
Samsung raised four Galaxy A phones the same day. The Galaxy A57 5G now costs $599.99, up $50.
Rising memory chip prices are the likely cause. Engadget says relief may not come until 2027 or later.
If your phone still gets updates, keep it. If you must buy now, wait for a real discount, not the new list price.
