One UI 9 is rolling out to the Galaxy S23, Fold 5 and Flip 5, and it's their last major Android update.
Samsung's Android 17-based One UI 9 is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, A56, A36 and A27, starting in South Korea.
Beta testers in Korea got it first. Outlets expect other regions within days to two weeks, and U.S. carrier models may land last.
The S23 build is 3.85GB and carries the October 2026 security patch. Install it from Settings, Software update, Download and install.
Android 17 is the fourth and last OS upgrade Samsung promised the S23, Fold 5 and Flip 5. Security patches continue into 2028.
Expect a custom Quick Panel, refreshed apps and faster launches. Install it when it arrives, but know new features end here for the S23.
