Google is ending Pixel Watch 2 updates in October 2026. Here's what still works and who should upgrade.
Google's software support for the Pixel Watch 2, launched in October 2023, ends in October 2026.
The September update, build CP3A.260905.002.E1, added Gemini Personalization to the Pixel Watch 2.
Workouts, notifications and most daily features keep running. Wear OS upgrades and security patches stop.
Unpatched watches may leave payment data exposed over time. Newer Pixel Watch 3 support runs to October 2027.
Keep it if you only track workouts. If you tap to pay, upgrade. Refurbished Pixel Watch 3s run about $150.
