One UI 9 breaks connections

Since the stable One UI 9 update, Galaxy owners report dropped Wi-Fi, lost mobile data and, in some cases, phones that stop detecting their SIM.

Wi-Fi is the biggest problem

Phones disconnect with a Connection failed error, skip the home network or refuse 5GHz Wi-Fi while 2.4GHz still works.

Phones in the reports

Owners name the Galaxy S26 Ultra, S24 series, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and A-series phones like the A36, A55 and A56.

Fixes worth trying

Restart or toggle Airplane mode, rejoin your network, then reset network settings. Results are mixed, and the problem can return within hours.

Wait for Samsung's patch

Samsung has not acknowledged the bug yet. Hold off on a factory reset and file a report in the Samsung Members app.
