The Gemini app on Android now puts Chat and Task side by side, folding Spark into the main app.
A server-side update puts Chat and Task buttons above the Gemini prompt box on Android. Task is Gemini Spark.
Spark leaves the drawer. A new Scheduled page sorts tasks into Active, Paused, Completed and Suggested.
Chats and tasks now share one list, with filters for Ready, Needs attention and In progress.
Task needs Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month in the U.S., or AI Ultra at $99.99. Free and AI Plus users do not get it.
Swapping the Spark name for Task tells people what it does, and puts the agent where they already look.
