Samsung's wide $1,899.99 foldable is a video lover's dream with two big compromises.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 went on sale Sept. 26 at $1,899.99 with a shorter, wider body and a 7.6-inch 4:3 inner screen.
The 4:3 inner display fills up with widescreen video, and the Flex Titanium hinge makes the crease less visible.
Its 4,800mAh battery lasted 12 hr 19 min in Tom's Guide's test, versus 10 hr 44 min for the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
There is no telephoto lens, no S Pen, no Flex Mode, and only an IP48 rating with no real dust protection.
Buy it if you watch lots of video and can skip optical zoom. Keep a working Fold 7 if dust and zoom matter to you.
